Both Korea and Taiwan are in the top 7 nations in the world for plastic surgery. So, what signal might these kinds of competition regulations send for diversity in beauty in a context where height lengthening surgeries cost time, pain and money as some seek 'beauty' specified by height or long legs?
On the other hand could the promotion of an Asia-Pacific region beauty competition counteract the plastic surgery boom as Asians seek 'Western' look?
